Every hour of the day, except for the hours before sunrise and after sundown. We’ve been told to wake up and get up, but this is really a lie. The body is always asleep before sunrise and it’s only after sundown that we have to wake up and move to the next thing on our list.
Its hours like this that give us the most trouble.
We find it difficult to fit in the time we need to rest. We try to get some sleep, but it never seems to happen. We might sleep in a little bit, but then after about two hours, we feel the need to get up and do something. It can be anything from exercising at the gym, to going out to eat, or watching a movie, but even those activities are exhausting.
There is something about the constant rhythm of our lives that brings us to a point of stress or burnout. We feel like we’re not getting enough rest, and when we get less sleep, we feel like we’re less valuable to our teams, and our performance is suffering. The only thing we can do to make ourselves feel better is to take care of ourselves.
I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve had to force myself to sleep in and wake up tired, but each time it is a relief because it means that I’m getting the rest I need. I know I could never sleep through the night if I didn’t get seven hours of sleep every night. It’s a self-explanatory statement but one that has been true for me for years now.
We all have a set amount of sleep we need every night, but the amount of sleep we need varies widely based on your body weight, your sex drive, your eating habits, your sleep quality, and your other physical needs. We all need different amounts of sleep, and if you are lacking quality sleep, the result is that you feel worse and worse, and you may even be less productive in the office. We all need to figure this out.
We need to figure it out. Sleep is the body’s chemical clock. The body’s clock. It tells the brain when to make energy and when to rest, and it does this through a variety of processes including the production of hormones, the regulation of metabolism, the regulation of our bodies temperature, and the production of neurotransmitters. The body is also able to regulate melatonin, a naturally occurring sleep aid, so we need to know what that means for us.
Some of the best sex we’ve found is in the early hours of the morning. We’re not talking about the time of day that we find ourselves asleep. We’re talking about the time of day that we are most awake and in the mood to have sex. So sleep is the most important thing we can do for ourselves, and as with any other aspect of our being, the best way to figure it out is to know what to do with it.
One morning when we were in bed, we decided to just try to sleep. I was still tired, but I had started to get really, really hot. So around 2:30am I said, “I think we should try to sleep.” And she said, “No baby, I can’t sleep if you’re not asleep.
I then said, I don’t like this. She asked again, and I said, I wanna try to sleep. But I started to get really hot. She said, I cant sleep if you cant, your still hot. So I kept saying I would try to sleep and she said just lie down, just close your eyes and go to sleep. But I kept saying I was tired and she kept saying just shut your eyes and go to sleep.
