The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
This is exactly what a lot of people don’t think of when they hear the word “autopilot.” It’s when we don’t even realize that we are on autopilot. We might not even be aware of our habit of pulling into my driveway at 3AM and waking up to a beautiful day, but somehow that’s enough to make us automatically start our day.
Again, our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions actually carry us through our lives. We don’t have to stop and think about it when we do these things because our bodies are so programmed into our habits that we don’t notice when they are not working.
I love this analogy because it’s so true. We as humans are programmed to do these things because our bodies are just so programmed to do these things. It’s all about the body’s reactions. I think it’s one of the most important things to realize when it comes to being able to change your habits or routines. Because the body is such a powerful tool, we often forget that we are the ones that control how our bodies react.
I don’t think its all just about the body. The ability to change your habits is one of the best ways to manage stress. I am a huge fan of physical activities like running and yoga, which can really help you manage stress and anxiety. But, if you arent doing any of these things, then you need to get really creative about how you deal with stress and anxiety. I am also a big fan of meditation, which teaches you to control your senses.
