SEO is a field of information and services that is focused on increasing the search engine rankings of a website or website. The importance of SEO is on the rise these days due to a number of reasons including the fact that search engines get better and better with every passing day. Some examples of why SEO is important include the fact that Google has become our go-to keyword for getting a website on search engines like Google, Yahoo, and all the others.
When a search engine like Google or Bing first started ranking websites, they usually looked for information that they thought would help them better understand certain words. This isn’t the case anymore. Today, search engines look for the most keywords found within the text of a website. This includes the website’s title, main keywords, meta keywords, and internal links.
Not much has changed in the past five years. We still believe in the power of SEO (search engine optimization) to get you to the top of search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing. But how the SEO world can be manipulated has become much more dangerous. This is because the way the search engines rank websites is constantly changing. Google is the biggest source of rankings in the world, so the way you rank websites and show up in search results is constantly changing.
As it turns out, Google is a huge player in the SEO world too, and they have the power to manipulate the rankings of websites that don’t “believe” in the power of SEO. The biggest example of this is the Panda algorithm. Panda was meant to give more weight to websites that are well-optimized for SEO by making their content more readable.
Panda is a pretty standard algorithm that has been used by Google for a while. So the Panda algorithm, when first implemented, was a pretty bad one. It was a very aggressive and very invasive algorithm for websites in a lot of ways. Websites that were not well-optimized for SEO were penalized. While Panda was initially a good thing, it did eventually result in websites gaining lots of Google traffic, which is really not good.
Panda is now done so well that it has evolved to be completely natural, without even the need for any human intervention. In fact, Panda is the only algorithm that doesn’t require the human touch, which makes it much easier for SEOs to create. Panda also makes sure that no website is penalized if other sites link to it. Panda may not rank well for some websites, but that is because it is not a universal algorithm.
Panda was meant to be more like the old Penguin, which was a “good” algorithm. With Panda though, there is a certain amount of backlinking that helps a website get on Google’s good side. Google does not want that backlinking to hurt their algorithm, so Panda forces websites to make sure that their backlinks are on-topic and relevant.
Google’s algorithm is really just a ranking system for the websites that Google likes. It is not a ranking system, and therefore not a list, and thus not a blacklist, as the name implies. If a website has a lot of backlinking, then Google is going to look at that website in the future, and Google wants to find out if that site has links to other websites that are in Google’s good column.
You see what I mean about getting the wrong impression about your backlinks. If you are a new website, then you are probably not going to care that Google might be ranking you, but it is going to matter if your links are on topic and relevant. Panda, and other sites that use Google’s algorithm, only ever look at the backlink-density of your site.
So if you have a link that’s too high up in the rankings, Google may just ignore it. The algorithm doesn’t care if it can’t recognize the site. However, they do care if it’s too low. And if that site has too many backlinks, then Google may not even care if you have a link.
